COVID-19 INFO, LINKS, AND FORMS

Our school’s Return-to-School Comprehensive Plan is here.  If you have not already read the plan, please do. Thank you to the Return-to-School Committee (Donna Engman, Kelsey Jouppe, Dan Juopperi, Marissa Kentala, Kim Peltier, and Jay Ringler), who created the survey to get family input, discussed, weighed decisions carefully, and drafted a plan for managing COVID-19 concerns which follows the Michigan Return-to-School Roadmap as required,  and prioritizes  safety, following health department guidelines.

Here is Remote Learning Plan information, for any time School is closed by authorities due to Coronavirus.

Parents of students doing the in-person option must screen their child(ren) every morning before sending them to school. Here is the screener form.  Do not send your child(ren) to school when they are ill or have any symptoms.

After your child has been sick, fill out this form to verify they are safe to return to the school setting: paper well-child verification (it’s just the bottom section of the screener). The digital version is here.

We are requiring masks for all within our  school, except those with medical exemptions. Students are encouraged to bring their own cloth or disposable masks, or we will provide them. We are following health department guidance on masking in hopes that we will keep our students, staff, and families well and keep as many people as we can in school for as long as possible. See this video for further explanations of masking in DB-TC.

Students with a medical mask exemption must submit the form--students must wear a mask unless/until we have a doctor-signed form on file. Students who are unmasked will wear a face shield (the school will provide, if needed), unless their doctor indicates they should not wear a shield. Students will be screened at school if not wearing a mask (temp taken and screener form filled out daily). Parents of mask-exempt students, please contact the office with any questions.

If anyone from school tests positive for Coronavirus, parents will be notified (the person’s identity will not be shared).

Students will not be sharing school supplies this year. We advise you to please label your child’s items with their name, using permanent marker.

Students are encouraged to bring their own water bottle. Drinking fountains are turned off.

We are limiting visitors to our building as much as possible. When an adult needs to come in, they must sign in as usual, and they must also fill out a health and risk factor screener and use hand sanitizer, and wear a face covering. Whenever possible, we will try to meet the visitor at the door, so they will not need to enter.

Parents, please review handwashing procedures with your children.

More info is in the Return-to-School Comprehensive Plan, so please review it. Despite all these changes, it is going to be a great year in DB-TC!
