HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
DB-TC School is seeking a School Secretary/Administrative Assistant to the Principal with the following qualities:
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-Proficiency in typing, computer, and internet use
-Proficiency using or ability to quickly learn PowerSchool and Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar,
Forms, Gmail, etc.)
-Friendly, approachable, helpful, courteous to all
Primary purpose:
The school administrative assistant/principal’s secretary will work with principals, teachers, support staff, students,
and families to help ensure the smooth operation of the school by providing a consistently positive welcome,
performing necessary office functions, managing the student data system PowerSchool, and assisting all as
needed.
Qualifications:
The school administrative assistant must
-Meet criminal history background check requirements.
-Demonstrate good attendance and punctuality.
-Demonstrate strong written/verbal communication/interpersonal skills.
-Demonstrate ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
-Hold a high school diploma (minimum).
Responsibilities:
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
The school administrative assistant will:
-Assist school principal and teachers as requested
-Manage and oversee student data system (PowerSchool)
-Perform receptionist duties such as phone answering and visitor welcoming with positivity and respect
-Write, email, and post daily school announcements
-Perform typing, data entry, filing, and other general office tasks
-Assist with students who are injured or ill, and call parents
-Act as student attendance secretary; keep attendance records up-to-date
-Maintain student files (CA-60s)
-Assist students and adults who come to the office
-Assign locker numbers and manage student locker issues
-Manage and upload and provide student transcripts
-Assist with/Complete state reports as needed
-Manage documentation of teacher professional development
-Regularly input office discipline referrals into data system
-Track student tardies and absences and notify students of resulting detentions
-Other duties as assigned
Physical requirements:
The school administrative assistant must be able to
-Sit/Stand for extended periods of time
-Be able to continuously talk and/or listen
-Bend/Squat/Reach as needed
Terms of employment and schedule:
-School year plus 2 weeks on both ends, plus 2-3 days/wk through summer (schedule TBD based on need)
-PTO and wages according to support staff contract (currently $15.25/hr if no prior related experience)
-8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (one 30-minute unpaid lunch break); ~7.5 hour work day (hours may be flexible)

SCHOOL FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT
Primary purpose:
Under the direction of the head cook and superintendent, the food service assistant will assist in all aspects of DB-TC food service.
Qualifications:
The assistant cook must:
-meet criminal history background check requirements
-meet certification and training requirements for MI public school food service providers (can be obtained upon hire; must be in place before two weeks of scheduled work are complete)
-demonstrate a positive, hard-working attitude
-hold a high school diploma
Responsibilities:
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
The kitchen assistant will:
-Be a friendly, positive presence in the kitchen/lunchroom
-Assist in preparing and serving school meals daily
-Assist with cleaning kitchen and lunchroom as needed
-Perform other duties as requested.
Physical requirements:
-Repeatedly lift/carry heavy objects
-Sit/Stand/Walk for extended periods of time
-Bend/Squat/Reach/Kneel/Twist as needed
Terms of employment:
-School year (9 months)
-Wages as determined by the Board of Education (currently $15.25/hr if no prior experience)
-PTO according to Support Staff Contract
Schedule:
Monday through Friday (following school calendar)
Approximately 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Occasional substituting for other absent kitchen assistants
3.5-hour work day

JUNIOR HIGH TRACK COACHES
DB-TC Area Schools is seeking two Junior High Track Coaches. The coach will plan and run practices, coach/attend all meets, regularly communicate with student athletes and parents, keep schedule/calendar up to date, and work closely with the varsity track coaches and the other JH track coach. The season runs from mid April to June. Applicants should send a letter of interest to Sara Moilanen, Athletic Director, at moilanens(at)dbschools.us. Salary will be determined by the Schedule B pay scale of the current contract. Job Type: Part-time.
VARSITY VOLLEYBALL COACH
Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Area School is looking for a Varsity volleyball coach. Season runs August - mid November. The Varsity volleyball coach will plan and run practices, coach/attend all games, regularly communicate with student athletes and parents, keep schedule/calendar up to date, and work closely with the JV and JH coaches to improve program productivity.
