
Dallas Bond - President
|
Dallas moved to the area with his family in 1996. Dallas is happily married to his wife Beverly and together they have four children, three of which are Dollar Bay graduates with the fourth currently attending Dollar Bay.
Dallas has five grandchildren. He serves on multiple committees and organizationsi including the CC Association of School Boards, Houghton Rotary, CC Trail National Bi-Way Committee, Finn-Fest 2013 Committee, and Quincy Smelter Site Committee.
Dallas feels honored to serve as Board President where his children and grandchildren attend. He is proud that our school overcame a deficit and still offers a wonderful curriculum. Dallas believes that with Dollar Bay’s incredible teachers and helpful support staff there is not a better school around.

Donna Engman - Treasurer
|
Donna has lived in Dollar Bay for past 30 years with her husband Tim. She enjoys spending time with her 6 chilldren and 4 grandchildren. Donna is a registered nurse.
Donna feels priviledged in serving on the DBTC School Board for past 10 years. She is very proud of our school district and community and says, "It is like one big family where everyone sincerely cares about our children and are there to help whenever needed." Donna is also extremely proud of the phenomenal job our support staff, faculty and administration are doing in these financial times. She feels it is evident how their dedication and enthusiasm has given our students the best experience our school can provide.

Rick Nye - Vice President
|
Rick has served in the US Navy, earned an engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin, and owned small businesses. Rick is self employed but has worked previously at Michigan Tech, Republic Bank and Underwriters Labs. His interests include gardening, skiing, home projects, cooking and playing noon basketball.
Rick likes being a member of the school board and has served on the board over 20 years. He likes the direction the school is moving in, the quality teachers/staff and the new changes, especially trimesters. He likes giving back to the school (a DB graduate) since the school helped prepare him so well for life.

Larry Fallon - Trustee
|
For the past ten years, Larry Fallon has served on the DB/TC board as a trustee. Larry is a 1976 graduate of Hancock High School, and he is currently employed as a corrections officer at the Baraga Correctional Facility.
Larry currently resides in Dollar Bay, where he has 5 girls, all graduates from DB/TC, and one boy. Larry enjoys being a part of the DB/TC board because of the positive impact he can indirectly have on students. Larry enjoys the challenges that a small district presents, along with the positive outcomes that can be seen each year from our students and staff.

Julie Dunstan - Secretary

Julie has lived in Dollar Bay for the past 27 years. Her husband is Steve and she has 3 sons. Tom is currently in high school, Tim and Jeff are proud Dollar Bay graduates.
Julie feels she has been privileged to serve as a member of the DBTC School Board for the past 11 years. Julie says, "My time on the board representing our students and community has been a rewarding experience. Our school system has seen so many improvements in the past few years, despite hard financial times in Michigan, and that is a lot to be proud of."

Hugh Hosafros - Trustee
|
Hugh is the son of a public school teacher and school administrator and lives in Dollar Bay with wife Joan and daughters Jennifer qnd Janelle. Hugh served in the Air Force as a Medic and is a graduate of Michigan Tech. He is the Postmaster at the Hubbell Post Office. Fire trucks, fishing, hunting, woodworking and family fill his days. Hugh is a member of the Dollar Bay Fire Dept.
Hugh believes students have the greatest opportunity to learn in smaller schools. He knows DB/TC has the best students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters. “Education is the investment we make in the future.”
